This kit is FREE after purchasing $10 in product (from any designer) in the DigiScrapStation store. Or, you can purchase this mega kit for $15.
Rules for QP Challenge Game, March 2012:
DUE: This kit will be featured March and April 2012, so QPs will be gathered for the whole time this mega kit is featured as the "free with purchase" kit. Your QPs are due by April 30, 2012.
MAKE at least ONE QuickPage (QP) Freebie with the March mega kit "Year of the Dragon." You may only use pieces in the kit featured. Do NOT use pieces from other kits. You may use a template if you give credit to the designer of the template. Please also credit the designers of the kit (and feel free to thank the designers here in this forum). This kit will be in the store for 2 more months, so this Collection game will last a little longer. We will begin a new game in April, with a new kit, while this game is still going on.
To get the FREE kit you must make a $10 purchase in our store, from any designer. The kit will automatically be placed in your cart with a $10 or more purchase. Everyone who makes and shares at least ONE Quick Page this month will get a FREE add-on to this kit shown below. The ONLY way to get this add-on is to create a QP and post, and share it here. This "add-on" kit includes 11 full size papers (12x12) and 31 elements, all at 300 dpi.
The designers who contributed to this mini kit are: Aisne's Creations, FredaF, Gail Cook, Kathy's Scraps, Karen's Scraps & Graphics, MagsGraphics, Panda Bear Designs and Cecilla Swatton.
QP SIZE: 2400x2400 pixels (8x8 inches) in PNG format ONLY! We want all the pages to match in size so that we have an entire matching album. (You may offer a full size version, 12x12, on your blog, just not here in the DSS forum.)
Basic INSTRUCTIONS on how to make a png file with a hole cut out for photos.
PREVIEW: Make a preview, size 500x500 pixels, at 72 dpi (keeps the size down for the forum/gallery) in JPG format (flattened). Please just include your QP in the preview. Do not include any personal photos, you can post them in the gallery, but not here in the forum. You may include the kit name and the designer name on your preview.
CREATING A DOWNLOAD FILE (you will upload to a sharing site): You do NOT need to zip your file to upload it to one of the sharing sites, such as 4shared, MediaFire, Box.net, etc. All you need to upload is your PNG file. You do not have to include your preview or the kit previews...you do not have to include a TOU (all files are for personal use ONLY, when using one of our kits). If you only upload the PNG file, it makes it much easier for everyone to collect the files.
NAMING YOUR FILE: Please begin your file name with your initials/name/designer name and then the name of the kit (possibly abbreviated), then QP01.
Example: Kathy_kitname_QP01.png
NOTE: if several people name their files kitname_qp01.png then files will overwrite each other and you will end up with only ONE of them.
POSTINGS:
1. Post your preview in the DSS Gallery under QP Collection Game. It will also show up in your private Gallery.
2. Post this information in this forum:
a. Your preview, by using the Gallery link above.
(Note: to get the gallery link, go to the LARGE image of your preview in the Gallery and right click on it. Choose "view image info." After "Location" highlight the link, this is the link you can use in the forum to link to the photo, making it appear in the forum. You can use this method instead of PhotoBucket.) Please do NOT post the download link in the gallery, but you may post the link to this forum post to guide others here. All download links in the gallery will be removed. Thank you.
b. A DIRECT download link to your download, so that our forum members do not have to go to your blog to get your download.
c. Your gallery link to your preview, so we can make comments. (Note: to get the gallery link of your QP, go to the large image of your quick page and copy the web page address of that page. This is the link you post for your Gallery link in the forum.)
d. Your Blog link, so we can visit your blog (Put this in your Signature file so it's always there!).
3. Post your preview and direct download link on your blog and/or your facebook page (you must post at one of these places, if you have a blog/facebook page). Your blog readers should not have to leave your blog to get the download link. We prefer your blog for the posting, if you have one.
If you have any issues or concerns (download doesn't work, etc.) with someone posting here, please email Kathy at iluvbears at gmail dot com (making obvious corrections), or PM me from here in the forum. Do not contact anyone telling them they are doing something incorrect. Do not post in the forum for someone to correct something. This is our job! Let us know and we will take care of it. Thanks so much for understanding.
Have fun making your QuickPages and collecting other QPs that go with the kit we are featuring. QPs are great for creating an album or just using for a few...quick pages.
QP links may be taken down from this forum after a period of 30 days from the end of this game.
