Be one of the lucky winners of this RAK and you will get to choose one of my Photoshop Actions to have for free.

For every seven people who reply to this post, I will give away one prize--So if 1-7 people respond, one prize will be given, 8-14 responses will mean two prizes, if 21 people respond, three prizes will be given out and so on.

What do you need to say in your reply? Give me ideas for new Photoshop Actions! I am running out of ideas. You may respond only once a day - but this will remain open until September 30--so you will have seven chances to resond. So come back each day and give me ideas for Photoshop actions and by responding you will be entered into the random drawing for the lucky winners.

Oooo...ooooo...oooo!!!

How about some paper previews for 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 18 and 20 papers.
Have the preview save at 300 dpi in psd format.
Then I can flatten and/or reduce the size at will, not have it done for me.

I love your actions and would love to get one!! [smilie=hurray.gif]

Pick me pick me pick meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! [smilie=hello.gif]

Oops almost forgot--I want actions that give papers/photos texture, like the sanded edge, but I'm getting tired of that, so something else. Maybe creased? Can you do creased?

I'm sure this is the wrong place for this and feel free to move it appropriately, but what are actions? I've seen people selling them around, but never really knew what they were for or did. I don't have photoshop so I know its irrelevant, so thats why I feel bad even asking. But have been curious for awhile.
TIA

No fair taking my idea! I was thinking yesterday that I might give this one a try but I know if Nancy does it no one will get mine because I'm just learning actions. No fair, no fair, no fair! (I sound like my kids, don't I LOL)

Okay.... another idea.... how about a Christmas ornament action... something that takes the user's selected paper and makes it spherical and shiny.

I have been searching for a "good" frazzeled edger action. There are a few out there and am just not impressed with the results. I've been attempting to build a realistic book but I suck at edgings lol So something like that would be way cool. But thats just my pov.

Okay, my action choice number 2 and this is again for designers...sorry!
We are working with a kit preview...the paper part is done with the previous action requested, LOL.
Now I want to add elements...can an action add say 6 elements at a time (using it over and over), until all elements are put into their own layer for the preview? Maybe divide the 12x12 layouts into six sections and put one element into each section. But I want to be able to do this 2, 3, 4 or however many times, until all my elements are there that I want to preview. So the action might need to ask for the layer number to begin. Then I can go in and move them around to where I want them and turn them on or off as needed.
Hope this makes sense!

I love the ornament idea and would go a step further for a spot to put a photo into.

Actions work in Photoshop, so you do need the program to make them work. Basically you install and run an action to make something happen or create something.
Check out this fairy action by Nancy: http://digiscrapstation.com/store/index ... cts_id=837
With this action you choose two of the colors you want to use and it creates this gorgeous little fairy. Simple for us to use, but the designer has a lot of work to do to get it to work. LOL

How about snow globes? I mean like just your basic globe and stand and then the person can take their globe and "fill" it with any kind of scene they like like a fall scne with leaves coming down or a snow scene with snowmen ect.....

Ohh this is a great idea! How about one that you can fill it with her Gnome people inside? That would be really neat!
I would love to see some more lace actions, or maybe one that creates an antique journaling note/book :)

How about an action making two colored feathers.
They are so delicate looking and would make great items for kits.
Every time I open Photoshop there is that feather...LOL!

You would be my absolute hero if you could design an action that would take my natural nature elements, such as ivy, branches, vines, flowers, ribbons... & twist them into a circle (or various choices of shapes) were the finished product would become a wreath); much like the dried grapevine wreathes we decorate and hang during the holidays. Being able to choose the finished size would be a huge bonus, too! I always start with my item layed out straight.

Doing this long hand can be very tedious to say the least. I hope this isn't asking too much?

Many Blessings,

D.
