Wednesday’s Words 3/18

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 | Wednesdays Word | No Comments

Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day so today I thought I would give you some words to put on a St. Patrick’s Day layout or for any photos you took yesterday.

But, I could not choose between two different items I found. So…you guessed it…you get both!

The first is an Irish blessing that I found at: http://www.quotegarden.com/st-patricks-day.html

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
~Irish Blessing

I thought this would look really great with a child’s photo of them in green or wearing something for St. Patrick’s Day.

The second set of words I found is a poem. It was at: http://www.childstoryhour.com/storiesholiday3.htm

Leprechaun, leprechaun, fly across the sea
And fetch an emerald shamrock for you and me.
Do not bring a nettle or a thistle for a joke,
But bring an Irish shamrock, for we are Irish folk.
And you and I, my leprechaun, will wear the shamrock gay,
And match it with and Irish smile upon St. Patrick’s Day

This has inspired me to be sure to get a photo of my grandson for St. Patrick’s Day. I am sure he has some kind of green outfit!
